Canyoning | Canyoning in Tryfos Gorge (Aetolia-Acarnania)

Located about 40 minutes from Lefkada (and less than 3 hours from Athens), the refreshing waters of Tryfos Gorge will rejuvenate you.
The waterfalls are fed by the waters of the
Nissa River, which springs from the Acarnanian Mountains, between the peaks of Boomisto and Psili Korfi, and flows into the Ambracian Gulf.

Lush vegetation combined with the healing properties of thermal springs and the spectacular waterfalls make this gorge one of the most unique canyoning destinations for those seeking more than just a simple outdoor activity.

The canyoning route begins with a 20-minute scenic hike, surrounded by untouched nature and accompanied by the crystal-clear waters of the river flowing beside us, forming small and large waterfalls waiting to be crossed.

At the end of the trail, we encounter the first three rappels (5–6 meters) with plenty of water and even an option for a jump!
Continuing deeper into the gorge, we face
8 consecutive waterfalls ranging from 12 to 30 meters, all ending in large, natural turquoise pools with beneficial properties.

The adventure ends in the last big pool, featuring a natural waterslide, and from there, just a 5-minute walk takes us back to our vehicles.
